So I've come to the conclusion that while I am within my daily points range, I need to eat more fresh fruits and veggies rather than cheese and "bad" carbs all the time. I've got a bit of belly fat and my love handle remnants still to deal with.

I don't know if ab workouts will work or not. I just have to hope I see some improvement over the next few weeks.

I've added back in the planks to my workout, I don't think the crunches were doing my back any favors.

I think you'll have more luck with the planks if your back was bothering you. If your abs aren't really strong, crunches rely way more on your back than your abs. And bravo about eating more veggies. It definitely works for me. I've been doing it for a week and I'm already craving more veggies instead of junkier stuff. (And I'm not a big veggie fan, despite my name. I made that up to remind myself that I actually have enjoyed veggies in my life.)

If you're looking for more crunch-free work for your abs, go on youtube and type in "craig ballantyne abs." You can get a few ideas--he has a bunch of different, really hard exercises that don't involve any crunching.

Yeah, I need to talk to my physical therapist friend about what exercises I should be doing. I think I've got a gap in there somewhere and my back isn't getting as strong as the rest of my body, which is causing some soreness/stiffness in the mornings. All I know is the back problems seemed to start when I ditched the planks for bicycle crunches. Hoping that adding them back in will help.

Yes, that's a great idea. People forget about the HG's on WW, but they encourage you to get in your daily fruits, veggies, lean dairy and prtteins before you eat any junk. I think a combination of eating healthy nonprocessed foods, cardio and stength training type exercises will all help with your abs. Any form of movement will help and ab exercises done correctly will help too.
