Would you ever consider going vegan or vegetarian? Unlimited carbs :)

Exercise does not lose weight. I can be great for keeping your metabolism going. My suggestion is not to do anything crazy at the start, start by just counting your calories (try not to estimate). You should naturally start to reduce your calories, with heart disease and high blood pressure, you need to double check with your doctor if you are intent on doing one of the crazy diets. My second suggestion is instead of listing the things that you can't do, try to find some exercise that you can do. Start slow and simple, but do it every day, no excuses. After you are in the mind set of tracking your food and exercising a little every day, the actual making healthy choices part will be easier.

I'd do some research first because you are going to need the support of your doctor. I don't drink any more water than I want. There is lots of research that say the water thing makes no difference. I haven't noticed any difference in my loss rate. For the diabetes and heart disease, I'd recommend the books by Dr Richard Bernstein; you can get a flavor for it here: http://www.diabetes-book.com/ It is low carb, which has proven to be very effective for diabetics in spite of what the ADA preaches. Why would you give someone with diabetes the very thing that's making them ill? I'm a T2 diabetic, totally off meds of any type after following low carb. Read up because it is quite likely you are going have to convince your doctor...this treatment is what diabetics did prior to the discovery of insulin so has a long proven history. Best of luck!

Ditto to what both of the above posters have said and will emphasize Kijuro's point of getting an OK from your doctor before starting any exercise or diet plan. He/she may have some advice also.

Thank you everyone for ur input. It really means a lot to me. I now have a few choices to go on. I'm gonna to start reducing my calorie intake and cut out all the bad stuff like soda , junk food n fast food. Going to replace it with fruit veggies see how that goes.
