I am 58 years old, who has battled all my life with weight issues. The battle seemed to end with two events - stopping smoking and being promoted from being a very active registered nurse to nursing admin. All hope was lost! My weight balooned to an all time high of 145kg. Over the past six months, I lost about 10kg. Then I bumped into a friend who was looking phemomenal - she must have lost 30-odd kgs, and of course you bet I asked what she was doing = the answer was Tim Noakes - Banting. I went and got the book, read it over a weekend, and 03/01/2015, I started Banting.

If anyone doubts the high fat lifestyle, don't! I have read the science, and it is sound - it is the idiots that advocated high carb eating and demonised animal fats based on very poorly conducted research that are to blame for the state of the Obese World we live in. My friend has familial high cholesterol - her basic levels dropped from 16 mmol to 7 mmol - which is almost normal. She is taking no statins.

I feel terrific. pains and aches are subsiding. My skin glows. my nails need a weekly trim and my energy levels are at an all time high.

Watch out world - here I come!
