Another 1/2 lb, well okay I'll take it - especially since I wasn't exactly behaving over the weekend. Trying to get back into the tracking habit, managed to record breakfast yesterday at least, hoping to do better today. My work schedule absolutely SUCKS this month, I'm working 6 days a week😣 Definitely a challenge, not horrible but I did tell my Sup I didn't want to work this much in February. I'm retired, after all & this is supposed to be a part-time gig. Anyway, aiming for meals at 8am, noon & 4pm (shift starts at 5pm), plus a light snack at work. I've got some salad mix I need to eat for lunch before it goes bad, plus I'll be trying a new recipe for dinner, like a taco bowl I saw on Youtube. Looks tasty, fairly easy & there will be some leftovers I can pack up for later this week.😋 Have a great day, everybody!

We have SO. MUCH. FOOD. How is it we keep buying stuff & putting it in our freezer? We're literally running out of room, you'd think we live in remote Alaska or something, LOL! (Yeah, I've been watching some of those shows.) Anyway, time to get cooking. I've planned out about 5 dinners for the week, mostly quick & easy stuff since I have to be at work at 5pm. That means breakfast at 8, lunch at noon & dinner around 4pm. And yeah, I need to start tracking again.... Anyway, today's a busy day but hopefully I'll squeeze in a quick workout after lunch. Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Down another lb, well there's a surprise! Don't know how that happened, but I'll take it! I've been watching 1000 lb Best Friends & I'm not sure how I feel about it. On the one hand, it feels a little exploitive, the way they were being stared at in the water park and stuff. They have the right to be there, and it's good for them! On the other hand, I can't help but root for them, especially Tina. I was hoping she'd lose the weight without surgery, and maybe she will in Season 2. Also, it was informative. They went to the beach & described how hard it was to walk in sand. My goal in working for the YMCA is to eventually work with people like them (or Seniors who want to stay mobile), and they were trying to find ways to exercise that they could actually do. I'd love to help them! Of course, I'm currently working in Member Services, not the job I wanted but it's a foot in the door, right? Someday....

Well...1/2 lb down is better than none I guess. So, last October I started working for the YMCA, then in November they announced they were closing my location. I have been transferred to a new location & am having to adjust. Pros & cons, to be sure. Biggest plus is, this new location is closed on Sundays. I've started going back to Church so that's very nice. Biggest con is, it's much farther from my home. The old location was about a 10 minute drive, this one is around 30 minutes! Yeah, lots of adjusting. Anyway, hope everyone has a great day today, it's as good as we make it!

Well, weight-wise the new year isn't getting off to the best start. I'm about 6.5 lbs heavier than this time last year, 12 lbs heavier than my lowest weight last year, PLUS I've gained back all the weight I lost in November last year. I guess I enjoyed myself a little too much in December. Well okay, that happened. I've also really slacked off on exercising. I thought that when I retired I'd be working out like 1.5 hours a day, instead it's more like 30 - 45 minutes & some days I don't work out at all! I'm feeling some lower back pain & also pain in my right knee, so I started seeing a physical therapist a couple of weeks ago. I've got about 2 more weeks of sessions, then hopefully I can start some really light weight toning sessions on my own - hopefully. I've also signed up for 2 5K's in March. Yeah, I decided the half marathon wasn't going to happen right now with the pain, so I just signed up for the 5K. Hopefully that will motivate me to just start walking at least. I didn't really make any New Year's Resolutions this year, but today I want to lose 20 lbs just because. I know I need to start tracking again, and probably go on some semblance of the 21-day fix that I did last year. Hopefully all the celebrations & food fests are done for a little while. Anyway, hope everyone had a good time over the Holidays & has a great year for 2023!
