Well I jinxed myself by even talking about the job in Hawaii - my hubby got a notice that the offer has been rescinded. We don't know what went wrong, and we're really bummed about it, but I'm determined not to go on a binge over this! Clearly I've gotten used to eating more than I should & I'll have to dial that back down again, not drown my sorrows in hot fudge sundaes. I may, however, buy myself an expensive pair of jeans though....

Stress eating has become a problem. Hopefully by recording what I'm eating, I'll at least cut back a bit. I was so hungry we went to Braum's for lunch, I restrained myself with the 1/6 cheeseburger & about half an order of fries. That wasn't the original plan, but I guess I let myself get too hungry.
I started to post this yesterday but somehow didn't save it. The reason for the stress eating is my hubby got a job offer in Hawaii, contingent on background checks stuff. Everyone says not to worry, he'll pass those (he did this once already) but the WAITING! Plus thinking about what to take & what to leave, buying a house, selling this one, it's just alot to deal with. Part of me thinks "this is no time to worry about dieting," but then I get on the scale and yeah. Time to get back on the diet track!

Today is one of those rare days where I actually tracked EVERYTHING I ate! Calorie count should be pretty accurate, and it's too high. I need to dial that back down by about 200 calories for a few days & see what happens🤞

It's up, so I'm back to tracking. Angry with myself for the gain, but really I've been so stressed out lately that I've been not trying too much, and here's the result. So here we go again....

As usual, my weight goes up over the weekend & back down during the week. Last weekend was particularly egregious, since I justified a big pasta meal AND dessert because I ran a 5K on Saturday. Yeah, doesn't really work like that. I'm running another one at the end of the month, and need to remind myself that a 5K doesn't justify such a heavy "carb load."
Still, it's interesting that I've gone over my calorie budget for 2 days now, and have still dropped a few lbs, getting closer to my stated weight. I'm concerned about next week, though, because we'll be out of town Sunday thru Thursday, taking care of some family business in Colorado. The hotel we're staying in has a gym and a pool, plus there's good hiking places nearby (if it's not too cold!). But I tend to gain weight on vacations because of overeating, since we'll be eating out alot. I need some good strategies to keep that in check. Also, I won't have my computer so I won't be able to track, unless I put it on paper, which I may do. Tonight I'll do another weights session, tomorrow will be cardio.
