Feeling kinda lazy today, here's hoping that I actually make it to the treadclimber this evening. Since retirement I've been doing cardio in the morning, but I do often feel really tired afterwards. But I'm not working tonight, so I SHOULD be able to do some cardio after dinner. I'm planning on trying a new chicken recipe, with brown rice & broccoli (what else?), followed with a yogurt cake for dessert. Probably have the yogurt cake AFTER the cardio....

I've had a few good sessions with the Personal Trainer. Last one he said he thought I should be eating about 75 grams of protein instead of the 90 - 100 I normally aim for. Bit of a surprise, but he said since I'm trying to lose weight/body fat that lower calories would require less protein. And of course he recommended I track my food intake on something like Fat Secret, LOL! So I'm back! Let's see how long THIS lasts.

So, first session with the personal trainer happened today. He said he thinks I'm doing better than I apparently think I'm doing, still feel like a wimp though. The lower abs are still not very strong after that surgery last July, so that's a consideration. But body fat % & flabby gramma arms are a BIGGER consideration🙄 Today I did something I've never done before, an inverted row. It's basically an inclined pullup. It was actually quite scary, hanging off the bar & afraid my hand would slip & I'd fall - but I actually managed to do about 14 rows. I'm sure I'll feel that tomorrow😣 I wish I had arms like Angela Bassett, she looks totally FABULOUS! If I keep doing these rows, I might eventually get there....

Big surprise, I bought another diet cookbook. This one is based on meal prepping plus Mediterranian and DASH diet recipes. I have no idea how many calories, though, since the author (a Dietician) thinks eating healthy is better than counting calories. (Suppose I should be tracking this....) Anyway, each recipe supposedly makes 3 servings, but it seems more like 4-5, LOL! Lot less cooking for me, plus hubby is less than thrilled so he's not eating that much. Oh well, he can just deal with it!
But that's not what I'm doing different. I've decided to suck it up & start seeing a Personal Trainer. Yeah, I work at the YMCA & have a degree in Exercise Science, but this guy has a Masters, also works with body recomp & older adults so hopefully I won't die, LOL! 1st appointment is Monday, we'll see how this goes🤞

It's taken almost 2 weeks to lose another lb. To be honest, I have no idea how it happened, but I'll take it!
