Hi everyone, I have not weighed in a few days. Our family of 3 couples and 2 children (only ones in Cape Town this year), got together on Christmas.
The day after Christmas my dad started feeling sick with flu-like symptoms. The day before yesterday I started to feel sick out of the blue; within 3 hours I went from perfectly fine to in my bed with very sore body and fever. Yesterday I started coughing and could not sleep to to feeling too cold.
I am still in bed, and received the sad news that a friend's brother passed away this week after getting Covid. He was also a diabetic and very overweight.
Today my brother let me know that he is feeling very sick too, same symptoms. He again, is extremely healthy, like me.
This just made me think again how we have only ONE body and one life. One family and a few dear friends. Let us love ourselves enough to change what we can, and love and appreciate our loved ones.
