So I ran into a friend of mine yesterday who told me that I looked like I'd really gained a lot of weight, and that the clothing I had on looked much too tight for my body.
I was pretty taken aback when she said it looked like I'd gained a stone and a half, or 20 or so pounds....I didn't feel particularly fatter than usual, given the current amount of stress in my life, and how much I have been fighting the urge to binge eat (not always successful, so yea, I did gain _some_ weight).

So I forced myself to stop at the store after work today and weigh myself. I'm coming in at a solid 220 which while not great, certainly isn't as much as was implied.

Usually, for me, I know when I've started to back slide into "fattest range" for me, is when I try to sleep or lie down and feel like my neck is squishing uip around my face. It feels gross, so I try to keep it away from that weight. My heaviest since I started here on FS, with logging my weight even if I am not always eating right or actively working to lose weight (even though I should). My heaviest was 238. I think that was back in 2010

Anyway, I just had to vent aboput this, because, weeeelll... yeah. It hurt my feelings and I also found it laughable that she told me it was obviously middle age spread and I should dress more appropriately. (to be clear, I was wearing a pair of black slacks and a burgundy long sleeve that covers my pot belly.
How can it be middle age spread if I've had it all my life?
*shaking head*

I'm stressing a lot about stuff going on, and I'm not eating a whole lot mostly because I can't be assed to do anything right now other than make a can of soup, eat an orange and some celery. I don't have any sweets in the house now (yay!) which will help me to avoid bingeing. So far its been successful (this willingness to not be binging all the time with the stress I feel is apparently a side effect of one of my meds. so that is awesome.
on the other hand, my other meds have been cx'd by the insurance co and its in my meg mgr to figure out what we can use instead (we thought we'd had it figured out this morning, but when I went to pick it up at the pharmacy they said there was a highly dangerous interaction between the new med and my other meds....and they'd contact Andy about it. So I called andy's office after that and updated them on the situation. I don't know if I should expect to hear anything back from them tomorrow or if I should give them a day to try to sort it out and give the guy a chance to look at his formularies? *sigh*
and tonight we're supposed to get hit with a noreaster, so the predictions for just tonight are between 10-18 inches.
