It's so hard not to weigh myself midweek! I'm dying to see more weight drop off on the scale and get that reinforcement. This week had a very rocky start as it was that time this month to care a bit less if you get my drift. Anyway, I managed to outside in this crazy weather yesterday to ride a bike, which is something I haven't done literally for years. Today I got in a great workout at the gym and really pushed myself, burning around 800 calories in an hour and a half. I didn't start to feel better this week until I had some green drinks. They really do amazing things!! Only one more day and I will finally get to check.
In other news, my fieldwork experience has been really wonderful so far and I am learning a lot!

Yay :) two more pounds lost, I'm so happy to see the weight dropping off at a healthy pace. This really makes me fee like I will get to a great weight/size in time for that wedding! Another added bonus of the timing is that I will be able to continue to lose after the wedding and look fabulous in the summer for once!! I haven't felt sexy in the summer since I was a teenager. Now I just need to keep it up.
One of the most helpful things I found this week is to make a green drink with plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit and drink it in the morning. When I did that, I had a great amount of energy so I didn't feel tired at work, and on top of it I was less hungry throughout the day. My game plan now is to try to have a green drink for breakfast every day, at least during the week. Maybe with that plan of attack I will continue to lose 2 pounds each week.
There is officially three months until the wedding today. If I lose 1 pound a week I can lose up to 12 pounds, which would bring me into the 160's! That is part of my goal for this wedding, to be in the 160's and to drop one dress size. So if I can lose at least 1 pound each week, I will be well on my way to my goal. I know this is going to be difficult because my plateau weight is in the 170's. I can't help but be excited that I am finally back in it and heading towards my goal.

I'm so happy that I haven't gone over calories today and that it was so easy! I had a blended vegetable/fruit drink for breakfast and it decreased my appetite for the rest of the day. I am also trying a low gluten diet this week... I started yesterday. It has been easier these past couple of days than I thought it would be. I guess I can eat more foods than I thought. If this doesn't help my digestion issue, then I will know I do not have celiac's disease (I hope not!)
Time for some updated measurements.
Bust w/out bra: 42
Chest:34
Waist: 35
Hips: 42
Butt:44
Upper thigh:26
Arm: 12.5
At my original start weight and then at my lowest recent weight before the trip:
Waist: 37 ----------now 35
Bust: 42 with bra---now 41
Hips: 45 -----------now 41
Thigh: 26.5 --------now 25.5
Butt: 45 -----------now 44
Arm: 12.5 ----------still 12.5
So the only place I seemed to have put on inches is in my hips. I am actually really surprised, pleasantly surprised! I am doing something right. My inches probably would have been a little higher a couple of weeks ago before beginning my dieting again. I can only assume of course. What a relief! I was afraid to do that. I can't wait to get super comfortable in a 12 and finally slip into a 10! If I can lose just one dress size by the wedding I will be super happy. I can't remember the last time I wore a size 10. That will be the day...that will definitely be the day. I am high-fiving my future self right now!

So I lost one pound this week. I was hoping for more of course, but it's a start. At least I know I'm getting back on track. I will work harder on making exercise more of a priority, also drinking more water and keeping track of how much I drink, and my food choices over the weekend. Maybe with those things in place I will drop more than one pound next week.

It's so easy to go over calories on the weekend. All during the week I am super stressed out about my fieldwork, and having control over my calories and food consumption I think actually helps me. Then the weekend comes and I can care less about having that control -- I just want to relax and not think about the things that stress me out! I had a few beers last night and that really killed my calories. I hate that I can't drink on the weekends to lose weight. I find that a few beers really helps me to relax and forget about all of the things stressing me out. I shouldn't have eaten that entire box of crackers, either. Sigh. I will weigh in tomorrow, and hopefully this hasn't set me back too much. I am really hoping to see a weight loss!!
