Here's to 16 consecutive diet days! Woohoo! Today's my 8th day under or only slightly over 1000 calories but I'm eating mostly healthy, filling foods and don't feel unhealthy.
I'm doing a candida cleanse thing. (I used to have trouble with candidiasis when I was a kid, maybe it's interfering with my weight now.) We'll see if the cleanse + eating yogurt/flax helps out.
I think keeping a positive attitude is so important. I'm not going to give up on my diet this time. I'm going to persevere and keep counting calories even if my progress isn't what I want it to be. Generally it takes at least a couple weeks into a diet to see progress. I'm also going to keep minimizing wheat as much as possible and maximizing brown rice and whole grains.

7th day under 1200 calories. One of these days I'm going to start losing weight. (My friend Amanda would be telling me I'm going to slow down my metabolism by eating too few calories, but I've eaten "healthy" around 1200-1500 calories for years and not had a whole lot of success.
So. We'll see how this goes. If it doesn't work I give up and will talk to a doc! (I'm not going to eat under 800 calories regularly, that's just silly...)

Well, I've gone up and down in weight the past week but it's back at 152 at least. I'm cutting calories as much as possible. It seems the only sure fire way I know to lose is to cut calories to around 800. But that seems preposterous. There has GOT to be a more reasonable way to go about this.

No weight loss yet! Just some fluctuation. How annoying!
I need to get some more gluten-free food.
I might have to talk to a doc/nutritionist again about this sort of thing. I just have a lot of trouble losing weight. It's not like I'm seriously overweight, but I gained ~ 30 pounds in college and I want to get rid of it. So, I'm going to keep my calories as low as I can while feeling good and minimize bad carbs, cut fat down a bit more, and eat more veggies. We'll see.
